Grandchild Connection has a team of expert advisors from a multitude of fields each bringing a new perspective in the development of our company, technology, and educational content.

  • Robin Rabinowitz

    Board of Advisors Member

    Robin Rabinowitz has been in the field of Counseling, Education, and Therapy for nearly 30 years. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology from Washington University as well as a M.A. in Counseling and Ed.D. from University of Pittsburgh in Educational Psychology. She is currently employed by Broward County Schools as a Counselor and has a private Family/Child Therapy practice in Coral Springs. Robin Rabinowitz has been a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator since 1999. Prior to that, she was an adjunct Professor at Nova University. She has written many articles about parenting techniques, family issues, and circumstances that directly affect family life. Dr. Rabinowitz believes that strong positive relationships are essential for any child to develop their full potential. The Grandchild Connection is an exciting vehicle to ensure this occurance.

  • Judy Gordon

    Board of Advisors Member

    Judy Gordon went to the State University of New York-College at Cortland, graduating in 1967 with a BS in Elementary Education. She then taught for 16 years in both New York and Coral Springs, Florida. She has co-authored a series of books titled Basic is Child's Play, published by Prentice-Hall. Judy has held positions as Intermediate Specialist at Maplewood Elementary School and Primary Specialist at Riverside Elementary School and was voted Teacher of the Year while teaching at Maplewood Elementary School.

  • Joseph LaMonica

    Board of Advisors Member

    Joseph LaMonica was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. With both parents having a combined forty years of teaching experience in Broward County, he too developed a passion for teaching. He recently became a National Board Certified Teacher in November of 2009. Joseph's experience includes teaching third grade for the past eight years which has enabled him to truly engage children in an enriching and challenging classroom environment where he/she will always be able to achieve a level of success and accomplishment.

  • Nicole Drantch

    Board of Advisors Member

    Nicole Drantch was born and raised on Long Island, New York and then moved down to Broward County nine years ago to become a teacher. Her certifications are in Early Childhood as well as Elementary Education. Her educational experiences include a year in a third grade gifted/high achieving class in addition to her eight years teaching first grade. Nicole became a National Board Certified Teacher in November of 2007.  Always having been incredibly passionate about education, her philosophy has been to look out for the child's best interest, which allows him/her the ability to reach their ultimate level of success through a nurturing, structured, creative, fun filled and hands-on teaching approach.

  • Mark Auerbach

    Board of Advisors Member

    Mr. Auerbach is currently a Director of Optimer Pharmaceutical Inc, a biopharmaceutical company which specializes in developing novel anti-infectives. Mr Auerbach has also served as a Director of several early stage companies. From September 2003 through October 2006, Mr. Auerbach served as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors for Par Pharmaceutical Companies, Inc., principally a manufacturer and marketer of generic pharmaceuticals and the parent of Par Pharmaceutical, Inc. From 1993 to 2005, Mr. Auerbach served as Chief Financial Officer of Central Lewmar LLP, a national fine paper distributor. Mr. Auerbach received a B.S. degree in accounting from Rider University.
